Morning Prayer 2022 Day 46

Saving God,

Some relationships are hard.

Like the Psalmist, it feels like when I speak out into the world, others want to fight. It feels like there are sides for everything these days. I struggle to know my place and feel safe in my voice.

God, you make me safe. With you, I can speak my heart. I do not have to sensor my feelings or thoughts. You give me a place to purge them from my body when my life’s circumstances don’t allow me to voice them openly. The toxic holding of doubts, fears, frustrations, and concerns is weighing me down.

As I speak the truth, as I acknowledge my reality, receive it with the grace I know only you can. Whisper comfort and acceptance that my feelings, doubts, fears, and concerns are real and valid and that you can handle them - I know you can - help me feel that you can. Take the weight from me, help me feel it lift - physical release Lord is what I need. Free my shoulders, release the tension in my neck. Help me walk straight, unburdened by the hard relationships.

Amen
