Morning Prayer 2022 Day 45

Risen Lord,

I rise this day to my life here, in this place, on this earth, this globe of nature and people you have created. This globe of busyness and work and play and tasks and relationships.

You create. You care for us. You sent your Son. You raised him from the dead, and you promise the same to us.

But Lord, I, with others, worry about the wrong things.

I worry about the technicalities instead of simply listening and receiving this extraordinary grace you have gifted.

I get hung up on hows and whens. I get hung up on black and white. I get hung up on getting things right.

But Lord, YOU are right.

You have made all things new.

You have raised me in the waters and called me child of God. You call me beloved.

When I worry and fret over the technicalities, I lose sight of this great joy.

Shine your light into my world.

Blind me from those things that diminish your great love and help me focus on what is good and Holy and true about you - your great love for me and for all people and for all of your creation.

Raise me up this morning to a new and extraordinary day of being loved and claimed by you.

Amen
