Morning Prayer 2022 Day 43

Nurturing God,

I wake this day with an idea of what it will hold, but I can never be certain.

The trees, Lord, they wake each morning trusting you will provide.

They stretch out their roots growing deeper into the soil for nourishment, trusting it will be there.

You provide Lord.

You provide nourishment, and these same trees yield fruit in their season.

Lord, what is my season?

What is it that you wish me to nourish in my life?

Is it me? What are you calling me to work on or recognize in myself?

Is it my relationships? Who are you calling me to forgive? To whom are you calling me to reconcile?

It is my work? Are you calling me to a vocational awakening?

Lord, this journey to deeper listening can be overwhelming. I want to be faithful and hear.

I want to listen and respond with joy and gratitude.

Call to me Lord.

Help me listen.

Help me hear.

Nourish my spirit that I too may yield fruit in this season of my life.

Amen
