Morning Prayer 2022 Day 42

Redeeming God,

Your grace is an imperishable seed.

I cannot kill it.

I cannot destroy it.

I cannot keep it from growing love and belonging in my life.

I may not see it. I may dismiss it for something else, but Lord, your grace is a gift - you have freely given to me - it is the promise you share.

You give that I may trust. You raised Jesus that I too may be raised. You are the faith and hope that call me to peace.

“All flesh is like grass
and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers
    and the flower falls,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”

You, Lord, have announced this good news to me.

You have promised me forever - yes forever.

Your Word endures forever - yes forever.

I cannot kill it.

I cannot destroy it.

I cannot keep it from growing in my heart.

Help me see it there. Help me listen for it. Help me feel it so that I too may grow in faith, hope, and love.

Amen
