Morning Prayer 2022 Day 41
Messenger God,
You sent the Message of salvation.
You sent Jesus, the Word, God Incarnate.
The people handed him over to death, but God you raised him.
You kept your promise.
You keep your promises.
In baptism Lord, you raise your people into a new life with you. You claim each one. You call every sinner beloved.
You make me your own, Lord.
As the early Church tried to understand, there are times when I too try to understand and I fail - your Love is too great for me to fully and completely comprehend, so Lord I must trust.
Help me trust.
In those moments, Lord, when I can’t hear you, calm the voices in my head that drawn out your loving promises.
Make yourself known to me. Help me see you and hear you this day.
