Morning Prayer Day 2
God of Beginnings,
You were in the beginning. You were the beginning.
There was never a time when you were not.
There will never be a time when you are not.
On this day, the second day of this new year, may this knowledge of your presence in the world and in my life bring comfort and grounding.
You sent your only Son. You became flesh that I might know you and have new life.
I give you thanks
You have made Christ known to the world. In moments of darkness, may your light shine brightly in my life so I never lose sight of you. May I be a light for others that they too might know the comfort of your love and grace.
In the name of your Son Jesus Christ, who became flesh for the world, I pray this day.
