Morning Prayer Day 1
God of this Life,
This is a new day.
Starting a new day doesn’t change the things of the past, but it does give a chance for a fresh start with pieces of my life that need death or resurrection.
As this new day begins it may lead to feelings of failure and guilt. Remind me that no matter what I do this day you already love me.
If I succeed, you love me.
If I stall out, you love me.
If I fail epically, you love me.
Remind me this day and all days that you are ever-present. Help me know at my core that the way you see me, as a claimed child, is what gives value to me and my life. Drown out the messages of exclusion, rejections, and failure that I say to myself and that others force upon me. Be an ever-present light that guides each new day.
In the name of the one who gives true newness to life, your Son Jesus Christ, I pray.
Amen
