Morning Prayer 104
A reading from Cesareo Gabarain:
Lord, you have come to the lakeshore
looking neither for the wealthy nor wise ones;
you only asked me to follow humbly.
O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me,
and while smiling have spoken my name;
now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me;
by your side I will seek other seas.
God of all seas,
I often lose heart. I often get lost in my own head. I often forget that you don’t expect me to be wise or wealthy.
Instead Lord, you speak my name. You call to me. You listen.
Help me keep praying and never lose heart.
Stay with me always - and help me remember you are already here.
Amen
