Morning Prayer 2022 Day 55

Author of Life,

Like those who called for your death, like those who did not recognize the miracles done in your name, I lose sight of you and your presence and grace in my life.

Sitting with this truth is hard. Instead of facing it or owning it, I busy myself with tasks and obligations that prevent me from what is simple and holy and good - time in solitude with you.

The more time I sit with you, the more I realize how much I need you in my life, but also, the more I recognize that your presence and steadfastness are already here.

While I reject you or dismiss you, again and again, Lord you do not reject me. You do not dismiss me. You call to me, come to me, and bestow your lavish grace on me. You hold nothing back when you love. Thank you for welcoming me into this great story of yours.

Amen
