Morning Prayer 2022 Day 37

Patient God,

You reveal yourself and I miss you.

I know you and I forget you.

You died for me, but more importantly, you died for all.

You were buried for me, but more importantly, you were buried for all.

You were raised for me, but more importantly, you were raised for all.

I know you and I forget you.

My human nature is to be distracted. My sinful nature is to put all the chips in my own basket.

My broken nature is to think you belong to me - instead of trusting that I belong to you.

Like Paul reminds the Corinthians in today’s lesson, Lord remind me.

Help me walk through this day recognizing you in the common places and the familiar faces.

And when I don’t Lord, remind me.

Amen
