A Prayer for Epiphany

Holy God,

You lead us.

You guide our path straight to you, yet we wander off.

We go the wrong way. We turn from you.

We come to you this Epiphany day to ask for your grace.

Forgive us when we stray.

Forgive us when we turn away.

Forgive us when we mistake your light for something trivial and shiny.

You are the Holy One.

You call to us.

You come to us - Emmanuel.

An encounter with you sets us on a different path.

You remind us.

When we know we are loved, we can’t help but walk forward by a different road.

Keep us on your path.

Hold fast to us.

Shine so brightly that we can’t help but walk in your light.

In the name of the one who came to save us - God with us.

Amen
