Morning Prayer 2022 Day 72
God Who Gathers,
We turn away from you. You gather us in.
We do not hear you. You gather us in.
We reject you. You gather us in.
We set our sights on shiny things. You gather us in.
Lord, like a mother hen, you gather us into yourself in an open and abiding act of love. As we hear the stories of your journey to the cross, may we remember to list and hear. May we allow ourselves to realize that you have already gathered us. May we respond with love to others who you gather along with us.
