Morning Prayer 2022 Day 26
Lord of Healing,
You rebuke fever and it leaves.
You rebuke demons and drive them out.
In our own lives, Covid rages around us. Our friends are sick. Our teachers are sick. Our family members are sick. We continue to navigate events and masks and vaccines.
We pray to you - rebuke the fever. We pray to you - drive out Covid. While we may not experience the same level of healing as Simon’s mother-in-law or those who brought the sick to you, while we may not immediately rise and begin our work again, you do bring healing.
You bring the healing that comes from knowing you walk with us through these pandemic times.
You bring healing through rest and you model to us. You sought out a deserted place. We search out silence and quiet. We search out healing.
Bring healing into our lives we pray.
