Morning Prayer Day 19
Good and Gracious God,
I come to you this morning like the Psalmist, with praise on my tongue.
You are my God and King forever and ever.
You have done wondrous things.
Today, Lord fill my heart with gratitude for the places where I can see your hand at work in my life. Open my eyes to the things I can’t see, to the people I can’t see.
You are a just God. Your justice is not of this earth, for we fail at justice. Your justice is that you gather all people to you. You claim each of us as your own. You claim me as your own though I am not worthy.
Today I give thanks that your grace is not dependent on my inability to love you completely and turn to you consistently. Today I am grateful for the peace that knowledge brings.
Help me feel gratitude throughout the day Lord, gratitude for all I am and all I have for they are all gifts from you.
Amen
