Morning Prayer Day 17

Creator God,

Struggle and suffering are part of life. We struggle from our own makings and the makings of others.

We struggle with people who hurt us.

We struggle with our to-do list.

We struggle with illness and disappointment.

We struggle with this unending pandemic.

Life isn’t perfect. The world isn’t perfect. The church isn’t perfect. People aren’t perfect.

But you God are perfect, and your love for us - for each of your children - is perfect - a simple and complex perfect love that sent your Son to come down, walk among us, and die in our place.

Thank you for that perfect love. Thank you for remaining with us in the struggles and suffering. Thank you for claiming us.

Amen
